This is a temporary full-time position working 35 hours per week from June 2017 to June 2018.

Preferred Background:
The successful candidate must possess an under-graduate degree with a concentration in Human Resources Management. Knowledge of organizational behavior, talent acquisition, health & safety and labour relations are required. Skills in event coordination, facilitation and team development would be an asset. The candidate must be capable of planning and implementing work in an organized manner, and working collaboratively with others. Candidates who are working towards a human resources designation are preferred.

The candidate is expected to:

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills
  • Possess superior time management skills and able to manage work flow in order to complete work on time and as expected
  • Exhibit a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Make presentations and facilitate group discussions
  • Lead group activities such as training or work collaboration
  • Be self-motivated capable of working in a team environment and independently
  • Behave in a manner that contributes to healthy and safe work environment, and positive workplace culture

Working Conditions: 

Travel may be required; incumbent must provide their own transportation. The incumbent will be required to provide a copy of their driver’s license by their first day of employment.


To be eligible to apply for an intern position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • In possession of a Social Insurance Number at time of hire.
  • You have graduated or will graduate with a recognized post-secondary degree, post-graduate certificate or diploma between January 2016 and June 2017.


·         Support the HR Managers in executing day to day and long-term activities of Human Resources in the areas of Talent Acquisition & Total Rewards, HR Operations (Employee / Labour Relations) and Health, Safety and Wellness.

·         Support and coordinate the logistical elements of Organization and Training Development programs.

·         Assist in full-cycle recruitment, including attend job fairs.

·         Perform other duties as assigned.
