Summary:
Polio is a dangerous disease that people can get from drinking water or eating food with the polio virus in it. It is also spread from person to person. The Canadian Paediatric Society and the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) strongly recommend routine immunization. The IPV and IMOVAX® Polio vaccines protect people against polio.
