Release Date: Mar 3, 10

Looking for a unique way to beat the winter blues? Consider a trip to the Halton Region Museum in Kelso Conservation Area. The Museum’s monthly concert series featuring some of the finest jazz musicians from across the GTA and throughout southern Ontario continues on Sunday, March 14 with a performance by Sultans of StringExternal Link.

"Jazz at the Museum continues to attract a loyal following based on the talent of the featured performers," said Halton Regional Chair Gary Carr. "The charming venue and the top-notch performers make for a winning combination."

Held in Halton Region Museum's Hearth Room, the Jazz series is a fundraising event for the Halton Museum Foundation in support of the Museum's capital renovation campaign.

Sultans of String band members Chris McKhool and Kevin Laliberte are members of the 2009 Instrumental Group of the Year. The group’s recent atomic world-jazz-flamenco album “Yalla Yalla!” is a finalist in the Instrumental category in the International Songwriting Competition (ISC).

The group is also a Semi-finalist with their song “Gardens of Lebanon” in the World Music Category. Sultans of String are also up for Favourite World Artist/Group at the 2010 Indies, Independent Music Awards.
