How do I find a product?

You can find products quickly by browsing through our category tree. You can also search for any product you'd like more information about. Just type in the name of the product in the "Search" floating window, and you can then see if the product is available.

What if I can't find what I am looking for?

If you don't see a product/service you're looking for, let us know (if by email, ). If there is a service you'd like to see on our Web site, we'd like to hear about that, too. The more we know, the more we can do for you.

How do I place an order?

Halton Region's purchase process is secure and simple. Just follow these easy steps:
  1. Click on the product you want to buy.
    • Choose the quantity that you would like to order
    • Click on the "Add to Shopping Cart!" button.
  2. You'll proceed to the Details Summary screen that shows you what's in your shopping cart. Here, you can:
    • Remove items by selecting the checkbox next to the item to be removed and clicking on "Remove" button.
    • Go back and do more shopping by clicking on "Add More Items" button.
    • Make your purchase by clicking on "CheckOut" button.
    • Update the quantity you'd like to buy by clicking on "update"
  3. When you're finished shopping and have clicked on "CheckOut" button:
    • You'll be prompted to create an account or log-in.
    • This is a secure site where you will enter shipping, billing and payment information.*
    • Update the Billing, Shipping, and Payment information by clicking on "Continue"
  4. You'll proceed to the Order Summary screen that shows you a summary of your order. Here, you can:
    • Go back to the cart to modify your order by clicking on "Back to Cart" button.
    • Modify your Billing, Shipping, and Payment information by clicking on the appropriate link.
    • If you're ready to make your purchase, click on "Finish" button and you're done.
  5. You'll proceed to the Order Confirmation page. Here, you can:
    • View your order and the Order Number it was given.
    • Go to a Print Friendly version of the Order Summary, by selecting the appropriate link.
    • Email Customer Service if you have any concerns, by selecting the appropriate link.
    • Continue to shop by clicking the "Purchase Now" tab.

    *For added security, credit cards are encrypted within our system and screened thoroughly during the ordering process.

    • When the "Bill To" and "Ship To" addresses are the same, the Bill To information must be on file with the issuing bank.
    • When the "Bill To" and "Ship To" addresses are different, both addresses must be on file with the issuing bank.

Can I order by phone?

Absolutely! Halton Region's online ordering system is the safest, most efficient methods of order entry possible. However, we understand that often customers want to speak with a real person who can provide advice on products and services for their business needs.

What method of payment can I use?

  • Visa
  • MasterCard

Halton Region cannot be held responsible for any payment mechanism made other than through our secure server and then only to the amount of our $100 Secure Guarantee.

We cannot accept:

  • Checks
  • CODs
  • Credit cards registered outside the United States and Canada

Will I be taxed on my purchases?

  • The tax that is charged on your order is based on your "ship to address".
  • Orders shipped to any Canadian address are charged GST. and the appropriate PST.

When will my order be processed?

  • Your order will be processed almost immediately once your credit card has been verified.
  • Please review your order for accuracy before placing it.

PLEASE NOTE: EACH CREDIT CARD WILL PASS THROUGH A SECURITY VERIFICATION.

We require that the correct "Bill To" and "Ship To" addresses for each order be on file with the issuing bank of the credit card selected for the order.

Can I change an order that has already been submitted?

Due to the speed at which orders are processed, it is very unlikely that we will be able to change any aspect of your order once it has been electronically transmitted.
  • An order in process MAY POSSIBLY be stopped if you contact us (if by email, at purchasing.halton.ca) within 5 minutes of placing your order. We will make every effort to stop the order, but can't guarantee that we will be successful.
  • If we are unable to cancel an order, you have two options: you can refuse delivery, or you can return the item under our "Satisfaction Guaranteed" policy. The return policies section of this site contains details about these options.

When will my credit card be charged for an order?

The full charge will be processed when your order has shipped. If the item in available as download, the full charge will be processed immediately.

How do I get a final invoice for a purchase?

While we ship all orders with a packing slip that describes the contents of the shipment, this is not your final invoice. Your final invoice will be emailed to you shortly after shipping.
