Sanitary Lateral Lining and Repair Subsidy: Residents are eligible for a 50% subsidy up to a maximum of $2,000.
A sanitary lateral is an underground pipe designed to transport wastewater from inside your home to the municipal wastewater/sanitary system under the street.
Over time, lateral pipes can become substandard as a result of various issues such as cracks, root penetration or ponding. Substandard lateral pipes can cause poor drainage or blockages which can increase the risk for basement flooding.
Halton Region offers financial support for residents who need to repair their lateral pipe. The subsidy covers 50% of the eligible costs up to a maximum of $2,000.
Work must be completed and paid in full prior to applying for the subsidy. Please mail or drop off your completed application and waiver form to the following location:
The Regional Municipality of Halton Public Works, Wastewater Services c/o Systems & Outreach Administrator Woodlands Operation Centre 1179 Bronte Road, Oakville ON, L6M 4G3
